【摘要】:1.1Thisstandardguideprovidesaframeworkforunderstandingtheissuesrelatingtoconductingsensoryandmarketresearchstudieswithchildren.Itrecommendsandprovidesexamplesfordevelopingethical,safe,andvalidtestingmethods.Itfocusesspecificallyontheconcernsrelevanttotestingwithchildrenfrombirththroughpreadolescence.Theguideassumesthatteensolderthan15yearsofagearegenerallycapableofperformingsensorytestslikeadults,andtherefore,allstandardproceduresusedwithadultsubjectsapply.Theoneexception,however,islegalconsentwhereparentalpermissionshouldbeobtainedforanyoneunder18yearsofage.1.2Theguidewilltakeintoaccountthewiderangeofchildren''sphysical,emotional,andcognitivelevelsofdevelopment.Itwillproveusefulfordevelopingtasksthatareunderstandabletochildren.Itrecommendsalternativemodesforchildrentocommunicatetheiropinionsorperceptionsbacktotheresearcher,suchasappropriatescalesandmeasures.1.3Theethicalstandardpresentedinthisdocumentshouldbeviewedasaminimumrequirementfortestingwithminors.Thesafetyandprotectionofchildrenasrespondents,aswellasanattitudeofrespectforthevalueoftheirinputshouldbeofprimaryconcerntotheresearcher.1.4Theconsiderationsraisedinthisdocumentmayalsobeusefulwhentestingwiththeelderlyorwithadultswhohavedevelopmentalhandicaps.1.5Thisdocumentisnotintendedtobeacompletedescriptionofreliablesensorytestingtechniquesandmethodologies.Itfocusesinsteadonspecialconsiderationsforthespecificapplicationofsensorytechniqueswhentestingwithchildren.Itassumesknowledgeofbasicsensoryandstatisticalanalysistechniques.
